Each platform has its own features, benefits, and best practices for creating and managing PPC campaigns. To become certified for various PPC ads, you will need to learn the fundamentals of each platform, as well as how to use their tools and optimize your campaigns.
Here is a possible plan that you can follow or adjust according to your goals and preferences:
- Start with Google Ads, which is one of the most popular and widely used PPC platforms. Google Ads allows you to create and run ads on Google Search, YouTube, Gmail, and other websites and apps. To become certified in Google Ads, you will need to pass at least two exams: the Google Ads Fundamentals exam, which covers the basics of online advertising and Google Ads, and one of the additional exams that focus on specific aspects of Google Ads, such as Search, Display, Video, Shopping, or Apps. You can prepare for the exams by taking online courses from Google Skillshop which are free and self-paced. You can also find practice questions and tips from other sources. The exams are also free and online, and you can register for them from Google Skillshop.
- Next, move on to Facebook/Meta Ads, which is another major PPC platform that allows you to create and run ads on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Audience Network. To become certified in Facebook/Meta Ads, you will need to pass one of the Professional Certificate exams that are offered by Meta Blueprint. These exams measure your competency in different areas of digital marketing using Meta technologies, such as Digital Marketing Associate, Marketing Science Professional, Creative Strategy Professional, Media Planning Professional, Media Buying Professional, Community Manager, or Meta Spark Creator. You can prepare for the exams by taking online courses from Meta Blueprint, which are also free and self-paced. You can also find study guides and practice tests from Meta Blueprint. The exams are online and cost $150 USD each. You can register for them from Meta Blueprint.
- Then, explore Twitter Ads, which is a PPC platform that allows you to create and run ads on Twitter and its partner sites and apps. Twitter Ads can help you increase your brand awareness, engagement, website traffic, app installs, or conversions. To learn about Twitter Ads, you can take online courses from Twitter Flight School, which is a free and interactive learning platform that covers topics such as getting started on Twitter, converting to a professional account, using location targeting, creating engaging content, measuring success, and optimizing campaigns. You can also earn badges for completing the courses and share them on your social media profiles. Twitter Flight School does not offer a certification exam yet.
- After that, check out LinkedIn Ads, which is a PPC platform that allows you to create and run ads on LinkedIn and its partner sites and apps. LinkedIn Ads can help you reach a professional audience of decision-makers and influencers who are interested in your products or services.
